In a stunning example of paying to know what they really think, MTV networks
has just contracted Ivan Stang to produce a one minute SubGenius video for
inclusion in their "artbreak" series.
"They had two requirements," explained Stang,"one was that the video be
exactly sixty seconds long, and the other was that the MTV logo appear in
the video. I explained to them that the Church views MTV as a part of the
Conspiracy so it would be inappropriate for the video to indicate that "Bob"
supported MTV in any way. They said,`Sure, we understand.'"
In order to fulfill the second requirement, the video will have a scene of
a SubGenius in Slack flipping channels on TV. The video will show the
Sub,"flipping *past* MTV and stopping on Howdy Doody or something."
The final edit is due on April 15th (a popuplar Conspiracy deadline) and
will begin filming around March 25th. No premier date has been scheduled.
