after prolonged experimentation, on a sidewalk dispensing stand
bearing as close a resemblance as possible to a TV set on a pedestal,
with the top half of the newspaper aping the TV screen. Television's
way with the news provides a model for USAToday's editorial
procedures, and not merely its ostentation use of graphics, most of
