Last month, I received some exceptionally high weirdness from Neo-Tech
Publishing Company, Inc. NTP may not know it, but they are sub-g shamans
poised to burst forth from their sheer pink clothing. Hear this: "Those
without Neo-Tech will die unfulfilled...without ever knowing wealth, power,
and romantic love!"
The mailing consists of a little folded note, similar to the "read this if
you are NOT going to order" notes in magazine hawks; a 5x8" 16-page NTP
News Report, "The Most Important Money/Power/Romantic-Love Discovery Since
the Industrial Revolution", featuring an interview of NTP founder Frank R.
Wallace by NTP employee Eric Savage; and an order form for the 800-page
Neo-Tech Information Packag (Neo-Tech volumes I and II).
In this article I reproduce the text of the introductory note and provide
excerpts from the NTP News Report. Though I have no affiliation with NTP
other than the blessing of inclusion on their mailing list, I trust that
erect sub-genii everywhere will find spiritual affinity with NTP. In
particular, I hope that you will join me in writing NTP to express your
moral support in their battle against the Con's antagonism, for which
evidence is provided in the introductory note.
The little folded note begins with a short memo, presumably from NTP:

Why did you request this information be sent to you? Read the
unauthorized notice printed inside. Or did a friend request this
information be sent to you? This is the second and final time we can
offer Neo-Tech to you. [I must have missed the first mailing. :-)]
Following this mailing, your name will be removed from our mailing
list.
If your order is postmarked before Friday, December 13, 1991, you will
receive free of charge, the newly released Neo-Tech III (Controlling
Others), Neo-Tech IV (Predicting Stock Prices), and Neo-Tech V (Job
Power and Sexual Immortality), which completes the Neo-Tech Discovery.
If you order is postmarked after Friday, December 13, 1991, you may
still obtain the complete Neo-Tech I-V for the regular price of one
hundred dollars postpaid. Neo-Tech II-V are not sold separately.

publication by an unenlightened gang of ruffians bent on destroying
Neo-Tech:

Neo-Tech literature is extremely dangerous. Neo-Tech has already been
legislated against by certain foreign governments. Hopefully, the
United States government will soon ban Neo-Tech. For its literature is
subversive to all accepted norms of government and religion. In fact,
Neo-Tech threatens the foundations of government and religion by
forcing everyone into competition with Neo-Tech -- competition against
materialistic, business-minded logic and blasphemous, profit-driven
advantages. Moreover, many government bureaucrats, all politicians,
and all clergymen are blatantly discriminated against by Neo-Tech. For
all Neo-Tech literature and adverticing explicitly prohibits such
people from acquiring Neo-Tech products at any price.*
Thus, if you receive any literature or brochures about Neo-Tech, do not
read that material or let anyone in your family read that subversive
literature, especially young people. Instead, promptly burn, destroy,
or trash all Neo-Tech literature that you receive.

business quislings, most lawyers and news-media reporters, many
bureaucrats and university professors."
Finally, on the back of the introductory note, the memo from NTP
continues:
The power that Neo-Tech delivers to the ordinary person is staggering
-- too staggering for comfort among those who now hold power. Indeed,
those with Neo-Tech can dominate those around them and disrupt those
who now have power -- easily take away their money and power and leave
them in the dust.
Today, as everyone will soon discover, the government must protect the
traditional money/power structures from the spread of Neo-Tech to
ordinary men and women. Those now with money and power are afraid of
those with Neo-Tech. You will discover thei secret and transfer their
money and power to you. You must order Neo-Tech now before it is no
longer available to U.S. citizens. Order before Friday, December 13,
1991.
By now, you are probably wondering, as I did, what this Neo-Tech is all
about. While I haven't the time or mettle to reporoduce the entire NTP
News Report, I will provide a few excerpts that offer some insight into
the world of Neo-Tech and the mind of its creator, Dr. Frank R. Wallace.
The excerpts are from the NTP News Report entitled _The Most Important
Money/Power/Romantic-Love Discovery Since the Industrial Revolution: Frank
R. Wallace Interviewed by NTP Columnist Eric Savage_.
I offer these excerpts without comment, except that I hope they will
convince you of the importance of writing the NTP office to express your
moral support in their battle to save Neo-Tech from the Con's nefarious
protection of self-interest.
NTP: What is Neo-Tech? How can I benefit from it?
WALLACE: Neo-Tech is a new, scientific method for capturing major
financial and personal advantages everywhere. Neo-Tech is a new
knowledge that has nothing to do with positive thinking, religion, or
anything mystical. ... Combined with Pychuous Advantages [not explained
in the report], Neo-Tech applies to all money and power-gathering
techniques -- to all situations involving the transfer of money, power,
or love.
Believe it or not, I first sensed Neo-Tech through the game of poker --
the money game, the international strategy game...[but] poker is just
one rather insignificant area involving the transfer of money in which
a person can profit through Neo-Tech.

NTP: Can people really get rich by using Neo-Tech? Or is Neo-Tech like
cheating...?
WALLACE: Definitely not. Neo-Tech is honest and ethical... Moreover,
Neo-Tech renders deception and cheating ploys so obsolete that they are
no longer an important threat. ... The Neo-Tech person displays
characteristics opposite to those of traditional cheaters as shown by
this comparison chart I have here in my notes:

NTP: What exactly makes [the Neo-Tech Man] so effective?
WALLACE: The Neo-Tech person has the power to render others helpless,
even wipe them out, but he wisely chooses to use just enough of his
power to give him unbeatable casino-like advantages in all endeavors.
His Neo-Tech maneuvers are so subtle that they can be executed with
casual confidence. His hidden techniques let him win casually and
comfortably --- year after year, decade after decade. Eventually,
Neo-Tech men and women will quietly rule everywhere.
Following the interview with Dr. Wallace, the news report offers "edited
segments taken from Wallace's personal diary during his research, starting
at his initial findings at day minus 2245 down to day zero when the
Neo-Tech Discovery was completed." After reading the 16-page report, it
is easy to see why the Con wishes to kill Neo-Tech before it can
infiltrate the established power structure like so many body-snatchers.
