No there 's not much more to say about that episode--except to note that it
probably was the inspiration (along with the nitrous oxide) for the repeated
chants of ``It is BAL-LOON '' and ``We 're the Fukawi'' that crawled through
the humid air of Dokstok I.
No hanged boys here---although the old Sarge 's comment [``No got come, Friday''
] does indeed suggest that infamous ``Dragnet'' episode featuring that ex con--
man -turned-gururu, obviously modelled on J.R. Dobbs, and that heppie couple
who blow up Ssanta Monica through heavy 'frop' usage while their baby bathes
on, helpless.
No time travel is necessary; the Dogma of Concurrent Lives explains it all
away, so we don 't have to worry about it.uh-uh, no need to think. Now that
``Bob'' has shown me my true potential for free thought and effective action,
I need not do either of the two, ever again---I 've already SEEN it when ``Bob''
showed it to me--WHY BOTHER? Now, SLACK is all that counts.
