Bucharest television has carried out a rather worrying experiment on members
of the Romanian parliament. During a break in a televised parliamentary
session, reporters asked several MPs [Members of Parliament] for their
reactions to the high levels of hydrogen in drinking water. Most expressed
themselves appalled or concerned. An opposition spokesman described the
presence of hydrogen in water as "yet another proof of the government's
incompetence". Of course, Romania does have a little way to go yet as a
world technological power.
