...but the version Crowley ended up boringly repeating his life long was just
`Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law,'---there are simialr bits
in Rabelais and in ``Jurgen'' (in the Lond of Cockaigne sequence---this is a
slackful book).

Crowley himself (unfortunately) seems to have spent a good deal of time
being a ``bad boy'' at least from the point of view of his fundamentalist
upbringing (same sect as Garrison Keillor's, I think)---that is, spending
less time doing what he willed than doing what his mother didn't want him
to do...definitely a Wise Man and Wise Guy, but a little low on slack.

I want to do a line of Aleister Crowley Greeting Cards (TM)--
``Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of thy Birthday''

``Every man, and every woman, is a star. Happy anniversary.''

--but then again, the poor guy already has FOLLOWERS to contend with, so
why vex him further. Jus' let him be, partyin for all eternity with Gog
and Magog and the Worm That Resteth Not.

The plot thickens... Will is actually three people, Rhys Fulber,
John McRae and Chris Petersen. Their last album was "Word Flesh
Stone".

Actually, the correct version is (as with all religions):

"Do what I say, not what I do" shall be the whole of the law.

"Love is the Law, Love under Will."

Crowley and Jesus are simply giving away their common source: Tibetan training, Yeti magick, frolicking with cosmic beings in the Himalayas and this sort of fun. Beware of imitators and of falsificators...
