Subject:
"quantising the unsaved" surely should not be performed by church folk, as
the Bamabaptists did. Some of us know how to do this _right_ly:
1.) You can fit an arbitrary number of souls into a given state (eternal damnation)
=> The unsaved soul has integral spin.
2.) What is the relevant uncertainty relation? They are certain of damnation
for all time, so a time/salvation relation is out. It would seem likely that
a pain (or remorse, if you're a damn liberal theologian) and time relation
would make sense, as any constant pain might be less painful. What units
for pain? The natural unit would be the "scoville", which has been used so
successfully for measuring chili pepper strengths---but it doesn't really matter,
we may be free to rescale any unit we choose so that it all looks neat.
3.) delta(pain)delta(t) - delta(t)delta(pain) = h_bar
4.) The reader is now asked to construct appropriate stationary states (should
agree with levels established empirically, see D. Alighieri, "Commedia
Divina", Public Domain Press (1993) or L. Niven and J. Pornita, "Dirtball
Inferno for Liberals", Bad Dobbs Imprims (1977) ). Readers encountering
difficulty with this don't have their minds right, and will just have to
be sawed. Some whiny pink boys object to being chain-sawed; we refer to
this as "failure to communicate" and saw them ( see J. Hypercleats, "If
You Could Saw What I Herd", Three Blind Boys from Arkansas Press (1981) ).
5.) The reader may then construct quantised creation operators for the
unsaved---are the equivalent destructuion operators creation operators
for the saved? Is the doctrine of Original Sin therefore reducible to
a statement about a preferred spiritual vacuum state?
Oh, that was "quantifying the unsaved"? He must have said it wrong, because
"Bob" makes me hear all things rightly...
