Yes, I get it now. We need to reset the cosmic parameters to better values
that will fix the Earth. Perhaps this is what the Indiana (??) legislature
was trying to do when they passed a law to "reset" the value of pi to 3.
(If pi isn't a cosmic parameter, what is?) If we all use our imaginations, we
can create realities with better parameters (e.g., where the parameter "nu?"
[the income in dadadollars of Rich Rosen] is much much LARGER--in a positive
numerically larger sort of way).

Reality, paging Sunny Kirsten, where are you when we need you?

Papers filed by the State Department have named figure skater Tonya Harding as a top advisor to Saddam Hussein at the time of his decision to invade Kuwait in 1990. Sources at the State Department have stated that Harding, who at the time was reported to be in training for the '91 World Figure Skating Championships, was actually in Iraq, where it is reported that she advised Hussein, "I think it would be really neat to invade Kuwait!" Hussein is said to have been so overwhelmed by Harding's enthusiasm, he authorized the invasion without further hesitation.

When asked to comment on these new charges, Jeff Gilooley, Harding's estranged ex-husband replied, "Hey, she told me she was visiting relatives."

An indictment is expected to follow.

Donna,

Thank you for pointing out more of the wisdom of Our Lord on the issue. Of course, I prefer the New Testament to the Old, because as we all know, Jesus made a new Covenant with us which superseded some of the older laws. So I view the Matthew 5 gospel as proof that Jesus still remains firm ... er, stalwart in his support of cutting off the penises of rapists.

>Desculpa por te ter mandado a file dos ftp's de volta... Wrong key! :-) >Mas afinal que RAIO e' o SQUISH? :-) >E' verdade, o cheque ja' vai a caminho, o u melhor, ja' VEM a caminho. Demoram >10 dias a liberta'-lo para mim e so' depois e' que eu posso manda-lo para o UK.

I suppose you realize that this is most likely Portuguese, which of course I don't know. But here's what I guess it means from my Spanish and French:

- --- >Desculpa por te ter mandado a file dos ftp's de volta... Wrong key! :-) "Sorry for sending you your two FTPs back. Wrong key! :-)"

>>Mas ("more") afinal ("finally?") que ("that") RAIO e' ("is") >>o ("the") SQUISH? :-) [This sentence eludes me.]

>E' verdade, o cheque ja' vai a caminho, o u melhor, ja' VEM a caminho. "It's true, the check is already on its way, or better yet, already CAME."

>Demoram 10 dias a liberta'-lo para mim e so' depois e' que eu posso >manda-lo para o UK. "It took 10 days for me to get it .... that I could send it to the UK." - ---

I think if I spent more time I could figure this out. But who has more time? Perhaps a Portuguese dictionary would help!

Steven
