Oh Rex, isn't it *wonderful* to be armed? Why don't those wimpy foreigners
Get It? That's why we all feel so much *safer* and *secure* in the US!

Huh? No "seriously civil unrest nearby"? Get out yer maps, Rex: Canada and
the US share a 3000 mile border.
> Have a really nice day...
Make my day, Rex: wake up.

It's nice to know that, under conditions of external threat, I don't
have to wait for the police to show up and draw a chalk line around
my corpse, yes. The crime problems in this country have a lot more
to do with drug prohibition and the welfare system than they do with
private ownership of firearms by law-abiding citizens.

Oh, I see, what's going on in the inner cities is comparable to
Honduras, El Salvador or Nicaragua--the probable sources of the Chiapas
arsenals? You're falling for the same con game that the authorities--
using their media dups--ran on you during the 80's "War on Drugs" that
decimated major portions of the Bill of Rights. You remember,
exaggerated "street values", strutting politicians calling for the death
penalty for selling dope, prisons stacked to the rafters with
"perpetrators" of victimless crimes--all that good Orwellian stuff. Do
you really want to get fooled again? The only difference this time is the
foil--guns instead of drugs--but the aim is the same: Increase power and
revenues by means fair or foul.

Make my day or don't, but you should believe less of what you see on TV
and hear from people who admit they want to "disarm America." If you
want to live in a paternalistic society where the government has a
monopoly on deadly force, move to Europe or Canada.

Prospects looked very bright [in 1996] for the Republicans, especially
in light of Ross Perot's decision, after consulting his volunteers, to
become president of Belize (where he remained until 1998, when he was
finally picked up by the Mother Ship).

And thus it is that, as this eventful decade draws to a close, we
Americans prepare to enter the 21st century with what is certainly the
most democratic system of government ever devised: Virtual President
Bob. He is wise, and he is good. If we flip a switch, he is a she.
He comes to our home whenever we want, day or night, and he listens to
us, and he agrees with whategver we say. If we're in a cranky mood,
he'll mkae a funny speech for us, or launch a virtual nuclear strike
against France. We don't know who's paying for all of this. THere is
a Virtual Congress, but nobody ever turns it on. It doesn't matter.
What matters is that we love President Bob, and he loves us. Happy
days are here again.
