I found it amusing to hear various high school physics
instructors saying, "Do you know how to find SLAC? Where
is SLAC? How far is SLAC?" etc. ... =)
And one of the many phone numbers for the center listed
at the end of that Brief History of SLAC ends in 999...
Hmm...
Though, while I was sitting in a lecture at the beginning
of the tour (this was after a high school academic contest
held at Stanford University), the first time I noticed
the clocks on either side of the auditorium, they said,
"3:33"... Hmm...
Tired after seeing 3 kilometers of SLAC,
