09.12.01 - It wasn't a dream. I woke up this morning only to find out that
it all really did happen. Coming into work was eerie. Everyone had this
somber look on their faces, practically no one making eye-contact or
speaking. it was by far the most quiet train ride I've ever experienced for
a Wednesday morning commute.

Times square is populated by a fraction of what it sees daily. My office is
practically a ghost town. There really are no Twin Towers, police and
ambulances line the streets. Security at our building is super-high.

In mid-town, people are walking at a reduced rate of speed. Most of the time
you can see people rushing all over the place, now, they are almost in a
zombie like trance, casually paced, wandering to their destinations,
where-ever that may be.

Same effect here. All the same feeling and mood as when the Murrah building
was hit.

At work they searched all the cars going through the gates.
Took me about 3 hours to get to my desk from when I joined the
queue.
