are now the most screwed creatures on the planet.

While the talk on alt.slack has been orders of magnitude more
intelligent than anything mainstream, it is a little sad to hear all
the interpersonal bitching; or worse still the quasi-evolutionary
theories that somehow it's time for the West to assert its dominance.
Come on now.

In some ways I think the best thing SubGenii can do is actually talk
to as many people as they can, to say what most people seem afraid to
say at the moment. Even that won't help too much, because W. is going
to play war whether we ask him too or not; but it could help in the
long term. A disaster on this scale might have a terrible effect on
Americans (playing into the worst instincts of hatred, isolation, and
faux-patriotism), but it might also finally wake us up and have us
look at what we've been doing out there. Once we get over the shock
that so much of the world hates us, we might even ask *why* they hate
us.

I'm in the Czech Republic (been here 3 years now), and I'm talking to
and writing to every European and American I know, to let them know
that it's OK to express an opinion that isn't from the mouth of Ann
Coulter. A lot of folks seem to think that anything short of fascism
is in bad taste, and helping out of that is a good thing.

YES! It is time for us to wake up and smell the Columbian (is how my friend
put it). We need to teach the people who planned this attack a lesson.
Terrerism is an X factor. We really don't know when or where they will
strike. If / When things get as far as war then we can't have little
fanatics running around randomly blowing things up with no course of action
planned out.

This year alone I have seen many terrorist actions, more so than any other
year (i can remember). That alone is a scary thought. When they go in to
get that Jeb Abdu whatever he's called Guy they should accidently take out a
whole slew of terrorists while their at it.

That's my opinion.

I couldn't help but think of that Afghan girl, whose
penetrating gaze was the best selling National Geographic
cover ever. A few years later a major search was begun
to try to find her again, but it was unsuccessful.

She is presumed dead.

Thank you for mentioning that I was worse than interpersonal bitching.
However, to clarify, I don't think it's time for the West to assert its
dominance. I think that the anti-progress social groups have decided it's
time to get serious. If we progressive social groups want to survive it,
we'll have to get seriouser. They picked the time, not us.
