First, open MS Word. If you do not have that, then you miss out on this
one. And I think you have to have at least Word 98 or something. Anyway,
open it up.

Type NYC -- all caps just like that. Now, select it and change the font to
"webdings". Surprise!

Now change the font again to "wingdings" (original, not 2 or 3).
Astounding! Bill Gates's TRUE feelings about a certain religion are
revealed.

For you mac heads out there, scroll way down to see the meaning of these
messages, I won't write it up here because that would spoil the surprise for
those playing along.

NYC in webdings is: eye, heart, picture of the new york city skyline.
Translation: NYC = "I love New York", the state tourism slogan!

NYC in wingdings is: skull-and-crossbones, Star of David, thumbs-up.
Translation: NYC = "kill Jews OK."

Jeez, I am dense - or perhaps its cuz I'm British - I finally get the 911
reference!

Anybody knocks on my door at 3AM is very likely to get ventilated with .40 inch holes
in a creative shot pattern. Maybe a Donald Duck head, for instance.

I would say "thanks for the coffee, friend" afterwards though, assuming it didn't get
spilled in the process. I wonder how you say that in dutch. "Danke urg grug cafee
amigo" or something. I guess if they're dead though you can treat them as
functionally bilingual.

If you think that's a good one: In MS Word '97 (I don't
know about other editions), you type in the following
(no quotation marks):

" I'd like to see Bill Gates dead "

Then mark the text and run the thesaurus.

You can also do:

" unable to follow direction "

Which will prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that a
CONSPIRACY is involved.

[an astounding discovery]

Mags, I can't decide if you're an absolute fucking genius or you just need
more to do. Being's how you're married to the Lord, I can't imagine you
don't have plenty to do, so I'm gonna go with "absolute fucking genius."

Damn, that's Amusingly nifty.

Anagrams of "World Trade Center" include "Cold War
Deterrent," "Terror Clawed Dent," "Drew Candle Retort"
and "Tract Led New Order." (If no one's brought it up
already, 11 September 2001 was the 11th anniversary
of George Bush's "Toward a New World Order" address
to Congress).

"Osama Bin Laden" anagrams into "Bad Alien Mason."

Spelling it "Osamu Bin Laden" you get "Saudi Nobleman."
Don't like that? Also anagrams into "Dumb Anal Noise."
