1.1. Radio
1.1.1. Hour of Slack
1.1.1.1. Definition - H.O.S. Hour of Slack is the official radio outreach program of the SubGenius Foundation. It is a weekly show hosted by Rev. Ivan Stang.
1.1.1.2. Requirements - It may be aired on any legitimate broadcast medium such as radio, shortwave or the web providing the following requirements are met.
1.1.1.2.1. Written permission is obtained from the SubGenius Foundation Inc.
1.1.1.2.2. Any required fees are paid.
1.1.1.2.3. It is played weekly and in a timely manner.
1.1.1.2.4. It is played in its entirety, unedited except were required by the FCC for radio identification or other such legal requirements.
1.1.1.3. Suspension - Any violation will result in immediate suspension of the HOS.
1.1.2. Other SubGenius Programs
1.1.2.1. Definition - Any program claiming to be a SubGenius show or program, with the show relying on a majority of SubGenius doctrine, music, or material during it's broadcast.
1.1.2.2. Requirements - It may be aired on any legitimate broadcast medium such as radio, short-wave or the web providing the following requirements are met.
1.1.2.2.1. Host obtains written permission from the SubGenius Foundation Inc. by meeting the following requirements.
1.1.2.2.1.1. Submitting a pilot of the show in equal length as the proposed show to the Minister of Propaganda - Radio Outreach Division. (MOP-ROD)
1.1.2.2.1.2. Sending proof of the existence of the show in the form of letter from the station manager on radio letterhead with the specific days, hours and host of the show.
1.1.2.2.2. The Host must hold a valid FCC operators license.
1.1.2.2.3. The Hour of Slack is broadcast prior to or directly following the show.
1.1.2.2.4. A live copy of each show is made and sent to the MOP-ROD.
1.1.2.2.5. The Foundations PO Box, and Website are given at least once ever 30 minutes.
1.1.2.2.6. No personal solicitations or donation requests can be made or suggested.
1.1.2.3. Suspension - Any violation of the above rules will lead to immediate suspension.
1.1.2.3.1. The SubGenius Foundation reserves the right to discontinue any SubGenius show for any reason without warning, notice or explanation.
1.1.3. Minister of Propaganda - Radio Outreach Division (MOP-ROD)
1.1.3.1. Selection - The MOP-ROD will be appointed by the Directors of the SubGenius Foundation Inc.
1.1.3.2. Term- The term served will be indefinite until resignation or removal by the Directors.
1.1.3.3. Duties - The MOP-ROD will perform the following duties.
1.1.3.3.1. Assuring quality control by reviewing SubGenius pilots and sending a concise report with recommendations along with the show to SubGenius headquarters.
1.1.3.3.2. Assuring quality control by reviewing ongoing SubGenius shows and sending any unfavorable reports with recommendations along with the show to SubGenius headquarters.
1.1.3.3.3. At least once a month forwarding at least one sample of each show to Ivan Stang for possible air on the HOS. Effort should be made to pick the best of that period.
1.1.3.4. Power - The MOP-ROD does not have the power to suspend or cancel shows. However, their opinion and report will have great influence on the decision of the Directors.
1.1.3.5. Suspension - Failure to perform these duties may lead to suspension or removal. The SubGenius Foundation inc. reserves the right to remove the MOP-ROD at any time for any reason, without notice or explanation.
