GODAMIGHTY, though, I'll tell you something. There has GOT to be a BETTER WAY. Here we have these hundreds of REALLY AMAZING artworks, and EVEN ON MY HARD DRIVE, even on the "SOURCE MACHINE," these pics take just TOO DAMN LONG to load and view; I hate to think what it's like for those on slow modems. By all RIGHTS of GOD, MAN, DEVILS and HALLUCINATIONS, you SHOULD be able to just FLY from one to the "NEXT" without ANY WAIT. You SHOULD be able to... ahhh... ehhh... well. Only 450 or so days left till X-Day, what do I care. BUT SERIOUSLY. Even on a CD ROM the Art Squirt is too slow. There has GOT to be a BETTER WAY.

If I knew what I was doing, this would be a mystery tableau on par with the illustrations of Chris Van Allsburg, a childrens' book illustrator with a great knack for making pictures that you WISH you knew the story behind, and which make you start INVENTING said mystery story.
As it is, well, this's only a test of the clip-art shapes that come with Ray Dream, and practice in aligning objects, moving lights, etc. etc. I spent all week with my nose in the Ray Dream manual and my fingers occasionally poking something around in whatever test illo I had up, and am finally getting the hang of this basic 3D stuff. I am SO GLAD I was deathly ill earlier in the week. It was the EXCUSE I needed to pursue my hobby up another rung of the ladder. Or, in my case, down... I'm learning backasswards.AND SO CASTLES MADE OF SAND
If you've ever gone through the Ray Dream Designer program by the book, you'll instantly recognize all the elements of this paint-by-numbers 3D scene. Everybody who does their Tutorial builds the little Castle in the Fishbowl scene. This is my take on it. Later I plan to turn this into Solomon's Temple in Dobbstown. It's lucky that this is a fishbowl scene, because I spilled syrup all over the file and it made the picture all wavery like as if it were underwater.
I have since moved the entire castle into Bryce, where ONE SECTION of ONE WALL, DEFLATED!! The weirdest thing. All the "skin" on the front of the wall disappeared... leaving 2-D window-sills hanging in space. FUCKING haunted if you ask me. We'll see how that goes later. When I carry this jargon and tweaking-knowledge back to my beloved Bryce, along with these twisted shapes you can do in Ray Dreeeb, I will be better equipped to prove my theories to science.GOOFUS
One of the blobs in this picture started out as a clip-art lawn chair shape. But I found the plug in the wireframe tube that determined the SIZE of the tube, and made it BIGGER, and MY GORSH did it get ALL BLOBBY!! This program is less like magic than Bryce, more like math.
