Has IRC #slack fallen to the Enemy?

Okay, so maybe I worry too much about the enemy (as if there
was such a thing!). But I think we need to look into
something.

I remember reading an earlier post about someone getting kicked
out of the IRC #slack channel for saying not nice things about
"Bob". So I wondered in and was met with a hearty, "Praise
Bob!"

I replied with an equally hearty, "Fuck Bob!" Made sense to
me.

Anyways, I was then branded "Pink Boy" and kicked out of the
channel. Pissed off to no end, I returned using another server
and suggested that every now and then a little "Bob"-killing
was good fun. That's when
Mr.
I'm-A-Subgenius-Which-Is-Just-So-Cool-But-You're-Not-So-Go-Away
kicked me out again!

God damn Bobbies! Hell, killing "Bob" has become something of
a sport! I've killed him at least twice! (He kept leaving the
seat down in my bathroom. Man I hate that!) I will never blow
sunshine up "Bob"'s ass like he wants me too. Okay, maybe I
will to keep my pleasure-saucer seat. Wouldn't you?

Stupid little pissant! A Jihad against the Bobbie I say! Get
into the channel and fuck him over! Attack! Attack! We shall
overcome!

Thanks, I feel better now . . .

The nice thing about IRC is that you're only in command of a channel for
as long as you're there. I returned to #slack a couple of times after
being kicked out (a "punishment" you just shared), only to find the
channel empty. I was in command then. Which was great - except that
there was no one else there to command.

But anyways, as I said before: whenever we get this IRC Devival thing
set, we'll have to make sure that someone with REAL Yeti blood takes over
the channel before the Bobbies get their mitts on it.

Why kicking "Bob" haters out of #slack is bad:

- They could be religious fundamentalists trying to
make you see the true light of God. In which case,
you should keep them there and have FUN. :)

- They could be true SubGenii who blindly follow
NO ONE - not even "Bob."

Of course, a Bobbie would never think of such a thing. To a Bobbie, an
insult to "Bob" is an insult to his Cool Fan Club.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the deal is with #slack, the one time I went there
they kissed my ass till I wanted to puke; kissing Old Hierarchite Ass
overly slobberingly is every bit as bad as cutting somebody off for saying
"FUCK "BOB". (A much more appropriate response to which would have been
something along the lines of, "YES! TO FUCK "BOB"! IF ONLY HE WOULD GRANT
US THIS REQUEST!! His mightily thewed oak-tree of a member..." etc. blah
blah.

I can't see much of a reason to cut ANYBODY off for what they SAY, but
maybe for BLABBING TOO MUCH and hogging the "airwave." Some of these
people have no Yeti dignity at all, and some are just utter wimps or
laughable, clumsy dumb-asses, and THAT'S OKAY -- we can always use new
TARGETS. It's when the yoyo just keeps sending and sending, spewing
relentless nonsense that breaks up the "flows" of the inevitable two or
three real CONVERSATIONS that always go on at once on these things, that
would seem like grounds for boot-off. in other words, you're free to be
stupid, but not if you're RUDE about it.

I don't know, but my mammy and pappy raised me to be polite. FUCKING CRAZY
AS HELL, SADISTIC perhaps, SCHIZOPHRENIC, SURE... DUMB, HELL YEAH! -- but
never IMPOLITE. I say SNUFF the ones who don't know when to shut up and
LISTEN for half a second.

That is sickening, though... so-called "SubGeniuses" CENSORING CRITICISM.
JESUS FUCKING H. CHRIST ON FIFTEEN CRUTCHES! What the HELL do they think
this IS?? SCIENTOLOGY? THE CATHOLIC CHURCH? AMERICA ONLINE? The FUNNIEST
STUFF OF ALL is from the SubGenius Haters. What if Biggles had been a
SERIOUS SubGenius hater? (I know, I know, Biggles, but YOU KNOW WHAT I
MEAN) Those guys would have been blowing a TERRIFIC OPPORTUNITY!! Among
the most PRECIOUS THINGS IN OUR ARCHIVES are the documents and tapes from
SubGenius Haters. We could not possibly state our own case better than
they do when they are trying hardest to TEAR IT DOWN!

So when we do our "online devival" -- actually, "devival" is just a catchy
term for something that'll be almost the OPPOSITE in terms of pacing and
structure -- we should try not to censor even the stupidest Bobbies, nor
the meanest of liars and talebearers. Unless they keep interrupting and
hog the space just because they can type faster and don't have to stop to
think about what trash might be about to emit from their mouths.
