Subject: Newt denies support for facelift.

From: poke@unix.amherst.edu (CP News Bureau)

(CP) Washington- In what has become an all too familiar move
among Washington insiders, majority leader Newt Gingrich this
morning formally denied his support to the Mount Rushmore
Renovation. He further denied having any affiliation with Dr.
Raymond Felcher, Professor of Geology at the University of Chicago,
adding "I don't know what felching is, but I think that the poor
should get a tax credit for doing it."

Yep, we're back again. In case you hadn't figured it out, we're Citizen
Poke, a humor magazine available via the WWW and FTP. If you liked
the Rushmore article, and want to read more material like it,
check out Citizen Poke, fully laid out and with illustrations
in "living Color".

-----

Citizen Poke is the Internet's only monthly comedy magazine. Our
third issue was download by over 2,000 people, and more than 8,000 of
you contacted our WEB site from as close as UMASS Amherst to as far
away as Brazil and the Kremlin. Vacaction ended, the CP staff was
chained back to their computers, and, yes, another Issue is out.

Check it out and see amazing articles like:

* Conquer and Prevalue, the CP mail order catalog
* Another Drug Menace
* Buck Turget's Movie Guide
* Postman Perky's Bad Day, CP's first coloring book.

The staff at Citizen Poke has continued to improve the software end of
the magazine dramatically. With a file size of under 700K, full color
and a new and improved layout to insure a faster re-draw time, you
won't believe your eyes. It's over 15 pages of fully laid-out magazine,
complete with color graphics and text, available for MAC, Windows and
UNIX
(X-windows) based machines. Find out why people from all over the
world are shaking their heads in dismay, what really prompted the
Cheznia invasion, what OJ reads in his jail cell, and the answer to
the age old question "Where the hell did I put my keys"

Get it and understand.
Citizen Poke; it's good for you.
