Is this a reference to the problem of storing nuke waste for 10,000
years and the language problem for the warning message it causes? I
heard they were considering great slabs of black stone in a desert
location. The heat from the stones was considered enough deterent.

 I'd expect decades of pyramid-sized digging attempts, myself -
