Has anyone seen this new ad campaign makes the Earth-stopping conclusion
that if you buy drugs you might be supporting terrorism. People saying "My
body, my choice" and "I was just having fun" are intercut with people saying
"I kidnapped people's dads" and "I bought the bomber a fake passport." They
equate drug use with helping hijackers crash airliners into buildings. I ask
you faithful yeti WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON IN THIS COUNTRY. im moving

Plus a change. This is pretty much a standard tactic and has been used
for quite a long time. Equate Behavior One Wishes to Control (TM) with
Another Very Bad Behavior. Remember the old WWII propaganda that made
people believe that the paltry tidbits of scrap metal they donated would
make a difference and that not participating would mean the death of the
free world? It's the same thing.
PS: The vast majority of that scrap metal collected was simply buried
in landfills.

I was confounded when I saw that damn commercial, and APPALLED when I
saw the price tag (~$3.2 million of OUR tax money). You got any idea
how much White Widow that would pay for.
Also, it completely ignores the fact that the black market/drug trade
the finances terror groups could be massively undercut merely by
legalizing drugs, thus drastically reducing their price and
consequently the black market revenues. But noooooooooo, that would
make too much sense, and wouldn't have the desired effect of promoting
social discord, which was the REAL intent of that ad.

There are clear financial links behind the drug trade and
the funding of domestic and foreign terrorist actions. The
market for drugs does in fact provide funding to terrorist
groups and entire terrorism-supportive governments. It's
all part of the CONspiracy but at least this one's honest.
