harmful effects of all kinds of cults, including religious cults and
"self-help" groups.
There are also many people seeking information on cults for
various reasons: they may know someone who has been seduced by a cult
and would like to find ways of helping them; or perhaps they are doing
research for a scholarly work or newspaper, and would like to receive
advice from those who have dealt directly with cult members.
A new mailing list has been set up for these people to come

Why, I thought everybody knew that anyone who has the slightest
idea of personal or spiritual betterment, or wants in any way to make the
world a better place for everyone, is supposed to prove their sincerity
by subsisting entirely on fresh air and rose petals! It's only the
grunting rocklifter wageslaves who perpetuate the evils and misery of the
world and then obliterate their daily crimesw from their minds with tv
and booze who actually need to eat LOTS OF RED MEAT to use up hundreds of
gallons of water per animal, hundreds of bushels of grain ditto, and keep
that old ball rolling just like it always has.
Nosiree, it's only the folks who do BAD things who are allowed to
even touch money. People who want to do GOOD things just change the
world automatically by the force of their goddamn PURITY AND SWEETNESS
AND KINDNESS! It's only the SOULKILLERS and PLANETRAPISTS who can be
multibillionaires, and the UPLIFTERS AND YEA-SAYERS get to STARVE TO
DEATH IN A DAMN ROCK CELL IN THE HIMALAYAS to be an "example" to us all!
